"Rising Star" winnerof Best Acoustic Band for 2010!
Not Even Brothers is Guy Workman and Pat Phillips. An internationally recorded songwriter, guitarist and flutist, Guy spent seven years in Nashville where he honed his songwriting skills. He has had four songs in the Billboard charts. "World of Lies", written and recorded by Guy for Rush Records, earned a Single Pick of the Week in Record World Magazine. "Last Train to Heaven", "Atomic Bum" and "Open the Door, Let Me In" were recorded by the late Boxcar Willie. "Last Train" was the title song to Boxcar's TV release album. Guy also co-wrote an original soundtrack for the BBC documentary "Son of a Gun", the history of Samuel Colt. Over the past eight years they have been honing and tightening their music by playing venues all across the Southeast. Their driving acoustic guitars, tight harmonies and unusual mix of original and obscure classics has set them apart from other "Top 40" style bands. They know when to be soft and mellow with acoustic guitar and flute or drive the dance floor with full percussion, lights, rhythm and lead guitars. Their working song list has over 200 cover songs. Chances are they know several of your favorite songs. They have played living rooms, cow pastures, large and small concert halls and everything in-between. With four Bose and one JBL sound systems ranging from small to very large, Not Even Brothers can rock you with their full P.A. system and it's two pumping sub-woofers or play unplugged with just acoustic guitar and flute. They also offer the DJ experience, during their breaks, featuring hundreds of popular dance songs so the dancing never stops. And for those occasions that need a little extra energy they can add a bass player. (Check the compilation video below). With top of the line Bose and JBL sound systems and LED lighting they can set the night on fire. Why ask the question "Live or DJ?" when you can have BOTH. |
